Not just Weyland. These pics of the engineer have far more impact than the engineer in the movie. Yes, he has impact when in motion, but somehow it felt to me as having less of a "presence" than with this detail and focus.

That's probably what David pointed out to the one near the end.

I do like the way some of those square photos appear to have been taken with a medium format film camera, you can tell by the corners of the borders.

Like I said in the DVD/Blu-ray thread, if we get no director's cut, but we get separate deleted scenes, I'll do my own fan-edit.

Came here to say something along these lines: if there ever was a doubt about the 'suit' and the 'engineer' being biomechanical, this puts it to rest. It's almost like biological circuity on the wrists and neck...

That is the 'stasis' suit, and then the suit ALSO interacts/merges with the "space jockey" portion.

This could explain the line in Alien when Dallas says "it looks like it outgrew its seat" or whatever the line is exactly...the suit very possible DID keep growing (if it was alive) much like hair and nails continue to grow on a dead person...feeding off the once living engineer...
